Bonnie Jo Yocum, 55, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
Memorial services will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon
Pioneer Chapel with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating. Arrangements by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Bonnie spent time with her best friend, her dog, Woden. Bonnie loved rock and roll. Her favorite band was Pink Floyd. She enjoyed going to concerts and had a collection of ticket stubs. She loved to babysit her great nieces and nephews. She spent time cross stitching and watching movies.
Bonnie collected elephants because they bring good luck. She loved the ocean. She enjoyed eating her father's enchiladas, which she took a picture of and framed. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Yocum.
Survivors include a son, Rusty Hanson and wife Natasha; a grandson, Arlo of Amarillo; her mother, Betty Yocum of Amarillo; two sisters, Darlene Shawhart of Amarillo and Earlene Fawaz of Yreka, Calif.; four nephews, Greg Shawhart, Tosh Strader and Terrill Strader, all of Amarillo, and Beau Strader of Denver; two nieces, Misty Lindsey and Kelli Glass, both of Amarillo; five great-nieces; and six great-nephews.
The family suggest memorials be to Hillside Family Health Clinic, 7130 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
