Louise married Archibald "Archie" Conner, about 1876, in Texas, they had three known children; Eiffie Victoria Conner Stalcup Hause, White Tapp Conner, and Archibald Conner Jr.

Lou was the daughter of Benjamin & Polly [Nix] White, of Bowie Co TX. Her mother died 1855, and father in 1858. They had arrived from Union Co SC, in 1846, settling in Bowie Co TX.

**See their attached Property MAP in Grayson Co TX - IN 'YELLOW' ON LEFT SIDE of MAP.

they were in joint ownership with Mr. J.W. Burgess.**

Louisa was deaf, and so was her husband, Archie, they both attended the School for the deaf, in Waxachachie, Ellis Co TX.

1850 Census Louisa is incorrectly listed as Susan V White. After her fathers death in 1858, her siblings were placed with her uncles and aunts, they are all listed on the 1860 census, except, Louisa, who was sent to and accepted into the School for the death, in Ellis Co TX, in 1858, I believe she was placed by, Charles and Mary [White] Tapp, who had the means to pay for her schooling, they also were caring for her brother Ben Franklin (Joe) White, who they raised until adulthood.

It appears that Louise was in the School for seven years, with her future husband, Archie, who was also attending this school, his family was living in Ellis Co in 1860.

By 1870 Louisa, had returned to Bowie Co TX, and was living with her brother, William P White.

Louisa named a son, White Tapp Conner, in memory of her family, and the Tapp family, who were known for their kindness, and giving of others.

1880 Lou and her husband were living in Grayson Co TX, where his Conner family was living.

1892 - Louisa and her husband are interviewed in their farm home, in Martin Springs Grayson Co TX, by a census taker, for the U.S. Special census on deaf family marriages and hearing relatives, 1888-1895. Louisa was ask, are there others in your family that are deaf?, she, answered, "Yes, an Uncle". [that would have been her Uncle, Robert White 1827-1859].

1900 census listed her name, in error, as Lucinda. Her grave marker has "Lou Conner", 1848-1904.

Her grandson, Ernest Luther Stalcup, son of her daughter, Effie, returned to New Boston Bowie Co TX, in 1918, and married a cousin, Fannie LaVelle White, also a great grand child of Ben & Polly [Nix] White, his grandmother, Louise's parents.
