Mrs. Martha Jane Ward, 77 years old, died at her home north of the Lone Tree community near here, Tuesday. She is survived by two sons, Fern and Frank, both of near Jasonville; five daughters, Mrs. Edith Sinders of Jasonville, Mrs Glenna Smith of Bloomfield, Mrs. Flossie Ward of Detroit, Mich; Mrs. Hazel Newgent of Indianapolis and Mrs. Jewel Clements of near Jasonville; two brothers John McClelland of Colorado and one half-brother, Walter Squires, of Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the Walker cemetery.
