Immigrated to America in 1852.∼Urban was born in Stetten bei Haigerloch. Urban immigrated to the U.S.A. on May 18, 1852 together with his fiancee Emilie Lachenmayer, Ship Tirrell ariving at the Port of New Orleans on the said date. Two daughters were born and died in infancy: Sigisberta and Gertrud. Emilia Lachenmayer Stengel died on Sep. 15, 1854.

Urban was a well-known stone contractor in Louisville.

Urban remarried on April 9, 1855 at St. Martin of Tours Church in Louisville Ky to Theresa Becker, the parents of 12 children. Theresa was born 12 March 1835 in Burgalben, Rheinpfalz.

The last child to which Theresa gave birth was an unnamed son, he was (perhaps) stillborn on June 13, 1881 and buried in the same grave with his mother. The baptismal record reads he was baptized in mother's womb (immediately prior to the birth, with the condition he may be alive).
