Funeral services for Dorothy G. Titus Bruce, 69, New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.
She was a member of the Bible Community Church, was an avid reader, and enjoyed gardening. She was also the owner and operator for Bruce Auto Salvage for more than 40 years and worked for Lear Manufacturing for 17 years. Dorothy was born on April 11, 1944 in Richmond, Calif. to the late Harry and Marguriete Cook Titus.
She is survived by her children, Donald Edwards and his wife, Mayme, David Edwards Jr., and Rexeen Blevins; stepchildren, Junior Bruce and Becky Robison; brothers, J. R. and his wife, Carol, and Martin Titus; sister, Henrietta Perry and her husband, Dallas; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Marguriete Spalding; brother, Charles Titus; and sister, Esther Mae Edwards.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
