At his request, no service will be held for Jesse I. Martin Jr. of Bellingham. Private burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.
Mr. Martin died Tuesday, May 8, 2001. He was 77.
Born July 14, 1923, to Jesse Sr. and Addie (Murphy) Martin in Bellingham, he was a lifelong resident of Bellingham. He served in the Armed Forces during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes E. Martin, in 1984 a grandson, Trevor Rathjen and a granddaughter, Aleceia Heggem.
Survivors include daughters Pamela Shean of Vista, Calif., and Linda Struck of Tigard, Ore. two grandchildren four great-grandchildren sister Jeannette Radke of Bellingham and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice, 600 E. Birchwood Ave., Bellingham WA 98225.
