Adolph Graf, 45, Grocer, Dies Here
Adolph Graf, 45, operator of the Farm City Grocery died unexpectedly at his home at 218 Mandan St. early Friday.
A resident of Bismarck since 1936, Mr. Graf was employed by the Northern Pacific Railway Co. here for 12 years and, prior to going into the grocery business, operated the lunchroom at the State Capitol for two years.
He was born Jan. 25, 1912, at Streeter, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Graf. He received his education there and was a veteran of World War II, serving four years with the Army Infantry, most of which time was spent in the European Theater.
Mr. Graf was a member of the American Lutheran Church, married Margaret Graf July 6, 1949, at Wibaux, Mont.
She survives him as do one son, Larry, 6; his mother, now living in Bismarck; one brother, David Graf, Dilworth, Minn., and six sisters, Mrs. Paul Oberlander, Mrs. Steve Walery and Mrs. Richard Wagner, all of Bismarck; Mrs. George Engle, Chicago; Mrs. John Stolz, Jamestown, and Mrs. Ken Boullion, in Germany.
Mr. Graf's father died just four months ago on Oct. 4, 1956. One brother also preceded him in death.
The body is at the Boelter Funeral Home.
