Member of Wright's Ferry Baptist Church, daughter of the late Absolum and Martha Abbott. Survivors: special niece, Judy Abbott Pitts, Knoxville; several other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters, Mamie Bowers, Ina Lankford Cummings, Beulah Ward; brothers, Noah, Bruce, Ira, Ben, Frank and Joe Abbott. Funeral 8 p.m. Friday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Michael R. Price officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, Vonore Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
