Joan Kelly Groves, 81 of Little Elm, Texas passed away on January 30, 2014. Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on January 25, 1933, to Dorothy and Joseph Kelly. She graduated from Pittsfield High School and attended college in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and Toms River, New Jersey. Joan work in various Account Executive capacities for several property and casualty insurance agencies in New Jersey and Texas. She completed her career working in residential property management in Houston, Texas. Joan's husband, Herbert Clark Groves, preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by her four children. Mark Groves (Patricia) of Houston, Bruce (Pat) Groves of Houston, Susan (Pete) Lee of Little Elm, Texas, and Lisa (David) McAdams of Bryan, Texas. She also is survived by two brothers, Ronald Kelly of San Francisco, California and Robert Kelly of Albany, New York. Joan is survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at 15015 Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas 77079 on Saturday February 8, 2014 at 10 AM CST. Interment will be at Brookside Memorial Park, 130401 Eastex Freeway Houston, TX 77039. Arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
