Nellie was a loving, generous, and constant companion to her daughter Sandy Ambrose Darst, and cherished her son-in-law Tom J. Darst, Jr. as if he were her son. She was an affectionate, doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Kelsey Darst McMurrough, Audrey Darst Blank, and T.J. Darst, III. She embraced her grandsons-in-law, Christopher McMurrough, and Damon Blank, and was delighted to hear the news of the engagement of her youngest grandson T.J. to Ariana Pyburn. The light of "Nana's" life, as she was known to most people, were her great-grandchildren: Abigail Ambrose McMurrough, Madeline Ellen McMurrough, and Caitlin Elizabeth Blank. She adored the sweet little girls that graced this earth and lived for the days when she could spend time with them. She is watching over the entire family that she loved so much Nana, we will miss you dearly, but know you are walking in the sunlight.
Nellie is survived by her brother, William E. Skellen and his wife, Margaret Skellen, of Kendall, New York; her sister Ada D. and Charles E. Dusett of Hamlin, New York; and sister Velma E. Roth of Albion, New York.
