Howard Mark West was born February 10, 1962 in Inkster, MI to Howard West, Jr. and Josephine West Bady. He passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the age of 51 years.

Howard was a resident of Saginaw, MI. and grew up at the Greater Williams Temple Church of God in Christ. He graduated from Saginaw High School and attended Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI until he became ill. He enjoyed doing volunteer work to help others. He was a great sports fan, especially the University of Michigan Wolverines.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Josephine West Bady of Saginaw, MI; his younger sister, Robin (Willie Maurice) Prescott of Saginaw, MI; nieces, Zoe and Brooke Prescott of Saginaw, MI; nephews, Joveille (Jasmine) Clark of Rutherfordton, NC, Darion Wilson of Ypsilanti, MI, Michael Wilson and P.J. Prescott of Saginaw, MI; great-nephews, Braylan Clark of Rutherfordton, NC and Braydon Michael Melton of Saginaw, MI; aunts, Sadie Buchanan of Inkster, MI, Barbara Taylor, Valencia Maxwell, Bessie West, Barbara (Albert) Laster, all of Ypsilanti, MI and Ruth Laverne Bell of Southfield, MI; uncles, Cornelius Baker of Ypsilanti, MI, Jonathan Baker of Inkster, MI and David (Shirley) Baker of Southfield, MI; cousins, Barbara and Janet Buchanan of Inkster, MI, Frederick West, Marcel West, Tony West, Venus West, Brent West, Michael and Michelle Taylor, William Maxwell and Roy Campbell, all of Ypsilanti, MI; and special friends, Edith Dillard, Bessie Sidney and Curtis Moore.

Howard was preceded in death by his father, Howard West, Jr.; grandparents, Howard and Fannie West, Joseph and Lillie Belle Baker; and step-father, Mauson Bady.

The family would like to express special thanks to the residents at Davenport Manor and Covenant Health Care SICU staff.

Family hour will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the World Outreach Campus, 2405 Bay Road, with the funeral commencing at 12:00 Noon. Dr. Hurley J. Coleman, Jr., Pastor. Elder Willie Maurice Prescott will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
