George R. Van De Veire, 70, of Johnsburg died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. Born January 11, 1935 in Geneva, IL, the son of George W. and Isabelle A. (Stinek) Van De Veire. On August 27, 1994 in McHenry he married Nancy T. Adams.
George retired from Burgess Norton, and for 15 years worked at H & R Block helping people with taxes. A member of the Moose lodge of St. Charles, he enjoyed bowling, boating and helping people fixing up things.
Survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Douglas (Nieves) Van De Veire of Spring Grove, Dale (Elizabeth) Van De Veire of Yorkville, Michael Augoustatos of Lake Zurich and Matthew (Michelle) Augoustatos of Gilbert; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren, one great grandchild, and five step-great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce (Charles) Voss of Arlington Heights.
Preceded by his parents and a brother, Leroy J. Van De Veire.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 11, 2005 from 4 PM to 8 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM to the time of services at 12 Noon at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery in McHenry.
