Richard P. Hoff, age 89, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away June 28, 2016, in Omaha.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m., to Noon on Wednesday, July 6, at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel in Council Bluffs. Memorials preferred to Saint John Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.

Memorial services will follow the visitation at Noon, Wednesday, July 6, at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel in Council Bluffs. Inurnment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with military rites tendered by American Legion Post #2. A lunch will follow at the American Legion Club.

Richard Paul Hoff was born June 11, 1927, in Treynor, the son of Paul and Olive (Trede) Hoff. He proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Phyllis Elaine Haynes on September 24, 1949, in Council Bluffs. Phyllis preceded him in death on May 18, 2007.

Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia Miller of Fremont, NE; five granddaughters, Casandra Kosch, Melanie Herrmann, Kristen Robertson, Anastasia Schickner and Michelle Retikis; eight great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Therese Hoff; and one sister-in-law, Neta Hoff of Council Bluffs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Steven Hoff, one son-in-law, Kent Miller, one brother, Ronald Hoff and one sister, Beverly Franz.
