Mildred K. Boykin, 86, of Lake Helen passed away January 31, 2014 in Orange City after a lengthy illness. Mildred was born in Lake Helen and reared in Lloyd, Florida where she met her husband of 66 years, Guy Boykin. After marriage in 1948 they returned to Lake Helen to raise their children. Although they traveled extensively due to Guy's Navy career, Lake Helen was always their home. She is survived by her husband, Guy and three children; as well as five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jacquelyn Lamb and her Aunt Sybil Wirick of Thomasville, GA as well as her Aunt Annie Laura McKenzie of Lake Helen. Interment will be in the Lake Helen-Cassadaga Cemetery in Lake Helen.
