Mrs. Kate May (Noyes) Rivers, widow of Fred N. Rivers, died at Springfield Hospital. She was born May 1, 1880 in Rensselaer, NY, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Willard) Noyes and had made her home in Springfield for 29 years. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. She left two sons, Willard Rivers of Springfield and Charles Gilbert Rivers of Waterville, ME and four grandchildren. The funeral was held at the parlors of Dickinson-Streeter Co with an organ prelude. Rev. Maurice L Bullock officiated and the burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
