Mr. Robbie Wayne Hunt, age 85, of Oak Grove Community near Avery Texas died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in a Mt. Pleasant, Texas Hospital.
Mr. Hunt was born January 30, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to Bob Hunt and Blanche Veasay Hunt. He was a retired Oil Field Derrick Man, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was a member of Lighthouse Church in Avery, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Lanelle Hunt of Oak Grove, Texas, a son and daughter-in-law: Rickey and Donna Hunt of Oak Grove, Texas. Two daughters and sons-in-laws: Patricia and Jeff Green of Royce City, Texas and Linda and Chip Mitchell of Rowlett, Texas and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the Bates Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Ross and Donna Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Hubbard Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, January 31, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
