Mr. Tommie Melvin Barnes age 55 of Marianna, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 29th in Jackson Hospital in Marianna, he was a native of Jackson County and a member of Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 7th at 3:00 PM at the Saint Luke Baptist Church with Rev. R. J. Henderson and Rev. H.H. Wynn Jr. officiating, interment will follow in the Orange Hill Cemetery under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
Tommie was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Poole, his father, Charlie Barnes, two brothers, Rev. H. H. Wynn Sr. and Charlie Barnes Jr., and one sister, Eleanor Copeland.
Tommie leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted mother, Josephine Barnes of Marianna, Three brothers, Randy Barnes of Tallahassee, Florida, Timothy Barnes and wife Tina of Lexington, S.C. and George Barnes and wife Diane of Marianna, Florida, seven sisters: Aggie Wynn, Barbara Williams and husband Nathaniel, Emma Spires, Janice Barnes and Emelda Davis all of Marianna, Florida, Daphne Freeman and husband Raymond of Augusta, Georgia and Marjan Green and husband Horace of Sneads, Florida, one aunt Bessie Rogers of Marianna, Florida, sister-in-law: Julia Wynn of Marianna, Florida, numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nephews and cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at the St. Luke Baptist Church on Orange Street in Marianna, Friday May 6th from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and the remains will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
