EX TRIGG PRINCIPAL IS DEAD AFTER ILLNESS

Educator Arthur Regnal Wallace, 66, Cadiz, died at 12:30 this morning at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tenn., following a short illness.

Wallace retired in 1981 from his job as principal at Trigg County Elementary School and was involved in several civic clubs in Trigg County.

Services for Wallace will be at 3:30pm Wednesday at Cadiz Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Harold Skaggs officiating and burial in East End Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5pm Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home.

A native of Golden Pond, he was botn May 8, 1925, son of the late Arthur and Gertie Luton Wallace. In addition to his work at Trigg Elementary, he previously was principal at Golden Pond School and Trigg County High School. After his retirement from the elementary school he served on Trigg County Tourism Commission and later as deputy clerk in Trigg County Circuit Clerk's Office.

He was also a member of Cadiz Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He formerly taught Sunday school at the church for many years and served as church clerk.

Wallace was a member of Cadiz Masonic Lodge No. 121 and Ophia chapter No. 55 Order of the Eastern Star, a charter member of Cadiz Civitan Club and a member of American Diabetes Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7890 and Trigg County Retired Teachers' Association. He was also a US Army Air Force veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Pat" Morris Wallace; a son, Phillip Arthur Wallace, Louisville; two daughters, Amy Wallace Brack and Mary Margaret Wallace, both of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Joe Wallace and Lew Wallace, both of Cadiz, Howard Wallace, Toledo, Ohio, and Jesse Wallace, Chico, Calif.; three sisters, Etna Dean Fennell, Hopkinsville, Mary Gene Turner and Virginia Riggins, both of Murray.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Arthur Wallace Fund for Needy Children at the Bank of Cadiz and Trigg County Farmers Bank.
