Alvin Henry, who married Edna Frank; Herbert Richard, who married Birdie Powell; Henrietta, who married Alvin Bohning; William Andrew, who married Mildred Stephens.

In addition to the wholesale grocer company, Henry was a Director of the Sun Insurance Co. He served on the New Orleans City Council, the Orleans Parish School Board, and the Orleans Levee Board.

Henry C. Lochte is interred in the Kirchoff - Lochte tomb in the Carrollton cemetery.

Henry C. Lochte was born in Peine, Lower Saxony, and immigrated at Galveston, Texas on November 1,1845 with his parents on the ship Hercules. They settled in the Pedernales River area. At age 18, Henry joined the Union Army and rose to the rank of Colonel. He was wounded in battle at New Orleans and mustered out in San Antonio. After the war, Henry returned to New Orleans. There he established the Henry C. Lochte Grocer Co.

He married twice, first to Katherine Kirchoff. They had three children: a stillborn boy; Henry Frederick, who married Clara Korker; Dorathea "Dora", wsho married Dr. Charles E. Brown of Oklahoma Territory. After Katherine died, Henry married Henrietta "Etta" Alves, widow Bitjemann. He and Etta had four children:
