Of Moose Jaw, passed away at the age of 77 years. Archie joined the Armed Forces in 1943, and was discharged in 1945 from the Carelton York Regiment after serving in seven countries. Archie then began a career in C.P. Rail in 1948, retiring at Moose Jaw in 1985. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Estevan and Moose Jaw. Archie is predeceased by a sister, Pauline Ronning; and two brothers, Paul and Arthur. He is survived by a sister, Pearl Connor - Estevan; nieces: Margaret (John) Butt - Regina; Maureen Mann - Calgary; Sandra (Vern) Hanson - Estevan; nephew, James (Janet) Connor - Quesnell, B.C.; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews and good friends, Ron and Sally Horsnall and Bob McGuire. The family wish to express their deepest appreciation for the care received from the Sisters and staff at Providence Place. A special thanks to Dr. Dave Gass. Following Cremation, a Graveside Service will be held at Rosedale Cemetery, Wednesday September 27, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Ian Payne will officiate. Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted by Mr. D. Smoky Hoover. Friends wishing to join the Cortege to the Cemetery may meet at W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home at 1:40 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Providence Place Foundation, 100 2nd Avenue North East, Moose Jaw, S6H 1B8, would be appreciated. W.J.
