He was born Dec. 2, 1941, in Angola, Indiana, to Georgia Jean (Welch) Whaley Aldrich, and James Oliver Whaley. They preceded him in death.
He retired after 23 years from Dunham Motor Sales, Inc., of Angola, Indiana, and he formerly worked for L.G. Maxton Sales in Angola, and also at Golden Auto Parts, Angola, Indiana.
He graduated from Angola High School. He enjoyed cars. He once owned a new 1964 and 1967 Corvette, and also had a 1962 Impala, and he also liked Dodge pick-up trucks. He attended the Angola Church Of Christ and Alvarado United Methodist Church and was formerly a member of the Steuben County Sheriff Reserve.
He is survived by several cousins and a close friend, Patricia Johnson of Fremont, Indiana.
Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
