Clyde G. Patterson, 93, passed away on January 31, 2014.

Clyde was born in Claysville, PA to the late Clyde H. and Hazel L. Patterson.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Helen A. Patterson.

Clyde entered into the US Army in 1941 and served in WWII in the Pacific Theater, where he received a Bronze Star.

He spent 30 years working for the FBI in the Printing Office and after retiring, he moved to Virginia Beach where he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing pool and dining out with friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Karen Hearst and husband Dewey; 2 sons, Stephen Patterson, and Mark Patterson and wife Trisha; a sister, Harriet Fleenor; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; along with a host of extended relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

There will be a graveside service held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
