Jane Gail Kennedy, 65, passed away Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Gail was born in Wayne County, N.C., Sept. 13, 1948, to the late Iredell Kennedy and Dessie Howell Kennedy.
She was a faithful member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Good News Sunday school class and the ladies auxiliary.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Williamson and the Rev. Fred Crank officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating.
Gail is survived by her brothers, Ashley Kennedy and wife, Ann, of Pikeville, Haywood Kennedy and wife, Mary, of Goldsboro and Milton Kennedy and wife, Dot, of Kinston; her sister, Winnie Crosby and husband, Gary, of Seven Springs; a sister-in-law, Lela Blow Kennedy of Fremont; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Kennedy.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 752 Stoney Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
