Laura Mae Riggins Fitzgerald was born on December 20, 1953 in Lane, SC to the late Willie James Riggins and Susie Emma Riggins.

"Laura Mae" was a resident of Fort Pierce for 10 years, coming from Indiantown, FL. She was employed as a CNA for Amore Nursing Home. Laura praised our Lord and Savior at Holy Temple of Fort Pierce.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2014, God sent his angels to escort Laura Mae through Heaven's doors.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Willie James Riggins and Susie Emma Riggins; and brother, Moses Williams.

Left to cherish her memories are: sons, Timothy Riggins of Fort Pierce, FL and Dexter Riggins of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Charlotte Riggins of Atlanta, GA and Melissa Riggins of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers, Sylvester Riggins, Albert Riggins both of Indiantown, FL, Floyd Riggins of Atlanta, GA, Willie James Riggins of Pahokee, FL, Henry of Indiantown, FL; sisters, Patricia Riggins of Fort Pierce, FL, Mattie Lee Riggins of Port St. Lucie, FL; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014, 12:00 Noon at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Fort Pierce, FL. A burial will be held in Pine Grove cemetery.
