He was born Oct. 25, 1900 at Summit, Wood county, WV., a son of the late Charles and Armeda Owens Brookover. He was a member of the Summit United Methodist Church and retired from Dudley's florist after 20 years of employment.
He is survived by one son, Chester A.; three daughters, Mrs. Millie Wright, Mrs Nadeen Rouser and Mrs. Velma Cole; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Dawson Brookover, seven brothers and three sisters.
