She was the widow of Oscar W. Thomason.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church were she was a member of the Bible Book Sunday School Class. She was a self-employed Seamstress in the Roanoke Valley for many years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Railway Trainmen.
Surviving are her son-in-law, Jack C. Summers Jr., Roanoke; one great-grandson and wife, Daniel and Shelia Templeton, Reidsville, N.C.; one great-granddaughter and husband, Anne Marie and Jeff Almashy, Danville; three great-great grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, and Julie Templeton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John D. Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
