Janet B. Bridges, age 98, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 5:33 PM at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
She was born on April 4, 1915 in Balsam, North Carolina to Sam and Artie (Queen) Beck and they preceded her in death. Janet first married Willie Tatham Jr. on July 2, 1932 and they divorced May 2, 1946 and he later died on December 18, 1981. She then married Floyd A. Bridges on May 21, 1946 and he died on January 30, 1999.
She formerly worked as a stock person at Lima Baldwin Hamilton in Lima. She also previously worked for Davis Enamel, Inc in Lima. She was a member of High Street Freewill Baptist Church of Ada and a former member of the LaFayette Missionary Church in LaFayette.
Surviving is a daughter, Deloris (Wayne) Ward of Thomasville, NC; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons: William Van Tatham and Dennis Edward Tatham Sherrill; a daughter, Peggy Golden; a brother, Walter Beck; two sisters: Hettie Cogdill and Nettie Panel.

A private family service will be held with burial in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
