Services for Lester Aderen Webb, 77, of Whitehouse, will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse with Rev. Bennie Portwood officiating.
Burial will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery in Whitehouse under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Webb passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Tyler.
He was born July 31, 1936 in Chandler to Robert E. Lee III and Maudie Perry Webb
Lester was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
He graduated from Troup High School.
Mr. Webb worked for Trane for 37 years and owned and operated M & W Air Conditioning for 25 years. He loved playing dominos and belonged to the Domino Club in Whitehouse. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Bullard Masonic Lodge and lifetime member of the Troup Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb was preceded in death by brothers, Bobbie Lee Webb and J.O. Webb and sister, Martha Peters.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Webb of Whitehouse; daughter, Leslie Atchley; grandchild, Kaylee Atchley, both of Ft. Worth; sister, Theo Bomar of Troup; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Tharpe of Holley Lake and Ann Webb Davenport of Rosenberg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Will Doran, Dennis Loosier, Don Ray Robinson, Robbie Kersh, Harold Hensley and Don Beasley.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Gospel Class of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
