Robert C. "Goody" Goodfellow, 73, died Friday at Community General Hospital. Born in Fayetteville. 1947 graduate of Fayetteville High School. 51 year resident of East Syracuse. He was a Navy Seabee veteran of the Korean War.
He was a carpenter with orobgood Local 747 he retired in 1991 after 38 years. He loved gardening, fishing, reading and model building. He was a volunteer for the ESM Meals on Wheels. He was past Sgt. at Arms at American Legion Arthur Butler Post 359 and a member of VFW Simon-Parise Post 9596.
His first wife, the former Virginia Snook died 1975.
Survivors: His wife of 27 years, the former Carol Garzone Russell; two sons, Major Douglas R. Goodfellow of Theresa, NY and Ronald P. Russell of Kirkville; a daughter, Rebecca Russell Loy of Cicero; a brother, Jerry of Kentucky and a sister, Janet Adams of East Syracuse; six grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Delaney & Greabell Funeral Home. Burial White Chapel Memory Gardens.
