Leslie "Les" W. Gray, age 94, of Waco, NE died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at York, NE. He was born February 4, 1919 at rural Waco to Grover and Louise (Pickrel) Gray. He grew up in the Waco vicinity, attended rural school #58, and graduated from Waco High School. He was employed by the Burlington Railroad until entering the US Air Corp where he served from 1940-1945 during WWII. Les was united in marriage to Pauline Bredehoft on November 18, 1945 at Waco, NE. Les was employed as an electrician with various companies in Humboldt, Lincoln, and Seward, and eventually owned and operated Les Gray Construction. He also farmed in the Waco area until his retirement. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Vernon, and sister Lucille.
Funeral services were held February 3, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church in Waco. Burial was in the Waco Cemetery.
