Ivan Narkiz Wigowsky was born on April 22, 1914. He was born in a village named Viden' in Zhitomir Province in Ukraine. He married Olga Korff, who was of German descent, in 1933. They were advised to leave the Soviet Union during World War II because of the anti-German hatred. They lived in Germany for 9 years before immigrating to America in April, 1952. Ivan and Olga and their three sons moved to California in August, 1953, to join the Russian Gospel Temple in San Francisco. In 1976, Ivan and Olga moved to Woodburn, Oregon, and attended the Russian Gospel Church there. In 2004, Olga passed away into Eternity, and Ivan lived the final 9 years of his life with the help of his oldest son, Adolf, who was the caregiver for his father. Ivan passed away at 7:30pm on December 27, 2013.

Ivan is survived by his 3 sons: Adolf, Stanley, and Paul; 7 grandchildren: Paul Steven, Susie, Michael, Zina, Daniel, Marie, and Lydia; 3 great-grandchildren: Evie, Awen, and Kara; and 1 great-great-grandchild: Adalee.
