She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, and a past member and president of the Meridian Garden Club. She was also a member of Mockingbird Sam Camping Club. Peggy's passion was cooking and was a past winner of the Meridian Star Cooking Contest. She also loved gardening, traveling, bird watching, and people.
Survivors include her husband, David Buntyn of Meridian; daughters, Debra Joiner and husband, Richard of Russell Community, and Iwanna Barbee and husband, Bob of Flora, MS; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Cobb of Jackson, TN; step-children, Joe Buntyn and wife, Nancy of Chapin, SC, Cindy Addy of Collinsville, and Tony Buntyn and wife, Carol of Tampa, FL; eight step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; uncle, Herbert Neely and wife, Mildred; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Vera Neely Rogers.
