Funeral services for Mrs. Mary C. Roose, 71, former Dallas resident who died Friday in an Abilene hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Prewitt Funeral Chapel, 1810 South Denley.
A native of West Virginia, Mrs. Roose had lived in Dallas for 35 years before being hospitalized in Abilene two years ago. She was the widow of the late Louis Roose, a member of the Dallas Fire Department for 25 years.
Mrs. Roose is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Opal Pulsifer of Rochester, N.Y.; four sons, Odell Alford and John R. Alford, both of Abilene, Gillis Alford of Alaska and Price A. Alford of Dallas and two brothers, Bruton Keeling and Cam Keeling, both of Virginia.
The Rev. John Shanks, assistant pastor of the Cliff Temple Baptist Church, will conduct funeral services. Graveside services at Laurel Land Memorial Park will be conducted by Dallas Rebekah Lodge No. 80, of which Mrs. Roose was a member.
Pallbearers will be Edward H. Clapp, C.H. Archer, V.E. Alexander, George Scott, O. Mac Baker and Harlan Dunlap.
