Carolyn was as hard working as she was loving, growing up in Apalachicola, and moving to Tallahassee to attend Lively Tech. Knowing her widowed mother could not pay for FSU, Carolyn made plans to later attend FSU, after she graduated from Lively. It was a good plan at the time. However, one thing she had not planned on was the fact that near Carolyn's job was a young man who took notice of her, and asked her out for a date. Afterwards commenting to his mother about Carolyn being was pretty and very smart. Words his family had never heard Boe Williams speak about other girls he had dated. Boe had met his match, in energy, intelligence, and passion for family and friends. Carolyn and Boe married on 3 Jun 1958, 2 days after Boe graduated from FSU. They lived briefly in Panama City, Florida. Then back to Tallahassee, having their first child, Edd. Then to Rome, Georgia, finally settling in Valdosta, Georgia, where Cason and Jenny were both born, as well as the birth of their first shoe store - Country Cobbler. The one store has bloomed into three others. Carolyn's energy and talents were boundless. Her faith and charity was abundantly recognized by the many lives she touched. Her charm and grace will linger long in the memories of those who knew her. Her smile and sunshine personality, which motivated all that knew her to be filled with joy and confidence. Carolyn died shortly after her 45th wedding anniversary following a brain aneurism. She was the epitome of a Christian lady.

Her children:
Edwin Legrand Williams III (Edd) 16 Feb 1960, Tallahassee
Joseph Cason Williams (Cason) 19 Sep 1962, Valdosta
Virginia Grace Williams Kirkland (Jenny) 25 Feb 1972, Valdosta

Her Parents:
Father - Lawless Joseph Barrientos, Sr.
Mother - Florence Scarabin Barrientos Swindoll
