Margret Florine Sutton Kelley Miller
1926 - 2014

Father: James Sutton
Mother: Maude Sutton
Spouse: Eustace Darwin Kelley
Spouse: Ben Miller
Early Life: Second-born daughter, Margret was born August 2, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan. She lived in Detroit for her first twelve years and moved with her family to West Union, West Virginia.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Margret met Eustace Kelley in West Union; they married December 20, 1943. Margret and Eustace were married 45 years and had twelve children together. She always claimed that her greatest achievement was her children: Beth Kortman, Chris Kelley, Lynda (Ken) Slater, Jim (Linda) Kelley, Robert (Carol) Kelley, Becky (Pharbus) Harper, Kevin (Kenna) Kelley, Jeri Kelley, Kimberly (Kurt) Robinson, Brett (Wendy) Kelley, Mark (Bill) Kelley, and Nancy Kelley. Thanks to a diligent stake missionary, who folded hundreds of diapers and washed many dishes until Margret was ready to hear the gospel, she was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on September 26, 1953. That stake missionary, Thelma Adamson, was one of her first of many friends in Pleasant Grove. Margaret accepted many positions in the Church, but her favorite calling was teaching the Sunbeams. When her baby, Nancy, went to kindergarten at Central Elementary School, Margret followed her and worked for 13 years as a lunch lady. After raising all twelve children, Margret returned to get her high school diploma from Pleasant Grove High School in 1986. On January 27, 1989, her husband, Eustace passed away. She later married Ben Miller on September 7, 1996, at LDS Hospital, in Salt Lake City, so her oldest daughter, Beth, who was recovering from a liver transplant could be in attendance. Their marriage was sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple on September 6, 1997. Ben and Margret truly made the most of their "golden years" with their families, Good Sam's Club and the Gang. Her mantra was "there's always room for one more." She's fed thousands of people in her home; she was a fabulous cook. Her hobbies were everything her children were involved in; she was always their greatest supporter. She was a cancer survivor twice. If she hadn't broken her neck mopping her kitchen floor six years ago, she would still be working circles around her loved ones. She loved tying quilts, all of her children and grandchildren have been recipients. Everything Margret did centered around her family. Margret Sutton Kelley Miller passed away on January 27, 2014, exactly 25 years after her first husband, Eustace's death. Margret was 87.
