William David Mize, 89, of Cadiz, Rt. 1, died at 10am today at Trigg County Hospital, following an illness of five weeks.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but the body is at Goodwin Funeral Home.
A native of Trigg County, Mr. Mize was born Jan. 6, 1881, the son of the late Joshua and Martha Elizabeth Colley Mize. His wife, Mrs. Gertrude Thomas Mize, died in 1957.
Mr. Mize was a retired farmer and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Edward and William Forest Mize, both of Rt. 1 Cadiz; two brothers, Rob Mize, Cadiz, Rt. 2, and Raymond Mize, Cadiz; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Lawrence, Mrs. Mary Rogers, and Mrs. Irene King, all of Trigg County; a grandson, Maj. William F. Mize, Jr., Vietnam, and two great grandchildren.
