Billy J. Brandon, age 70, died January 27, 2014 at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Born March 1, 1943 in Hunnington, Tennessee, son of the late Tucker and Floy (Wimberley) Brandon.

Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was general manager of the Double Nickel, had owned Country Nights and been general manager of Ramada Inn, currently owned and operated Brandon Lawn Services in Sikeston.

On January 18, 2005 he married Elva (Deal) Brandon; she survives of the home in Sikeston.

Other survivors include three sons, Jeff Brandon and Billy Wayne Brandon both of St. Louis and Justin Colby Brandon of Morley, Missouri; three daughters, Deanna Rueve of St. Louis, Kathy McFall of Tampa, Florida and Ann Barksdale of McKenzie, Tennessee; three stepsons, Robert Lall, Richard Lall and William Lall all of St. Louis; one stepdaughter, Regina Leonard of St. Louis; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Spellings.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home.

Friends may also call Thursday from noon until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. at the Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home in McKenzie, Tennessee.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie, Tennessee with full military rites.
