Rosalia Mary 'Rosa' Konarik Olsovsky was born in Halenkov, House #11, Vsetin, Zlin District, Moravia, Europe. She immigrated to America 28 Apr 1871 at age 4, and entered at the Port of New Orleans on the ship Koln, with her parents and two sisters.

On the 1900 Census for Lavaca Co., TX, she is listed as having 7 children and all 7 were living. By 1912, Rosa had 13 children. She had 14 children, 8 sons & 6 daughters. It is believed that her last son lived about six months before dying. Rosa's 13th child, a little girl named Rosa, lived only 13 days and is known to be buried with her mother.

It is known that Rosalia and her baby daughter Rosa is buried in St. John Cemetery in an unknown unmarked grave as evidenced by Catholic Church microfilm interment records. It is thought that both Rosie and Rosa are buried next to Konarik parents & grandparents unmarked graves. Several relatives have confirmed her cemetery burial but none can remember her exact location. If anyone has additional information, please contact the originator.
