Omie Clemmie Watson Oliver Day, 89, a resident of Glenbridge, died Jan. 27, 2005, at Watauga Medical Center. She was born in Watauga County on March 14, 1915. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Coleman Oliver and wife, Rachel, of Boone; one daughter, Verlee Oliver of Lenoir; one granddaughter, Debbie Mason of Boone; one grandson, Allen Oliver and wife, Jenny, of Lenoir; one great-granddaughter, Lisa Oliver of Lenoir; three great-grandsons, Thomas Mason and Luke Mason, both of Boone, and Harlie Oliver of Lenoir; and one brother, Willie Watson of Lenoir. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters; one brother; and two grandsons.
