Imogene Williams is the daughter of Redmond Roger and Elizabeth Josephine Butram Williams. Imogene was 14 years old when she married Oliver Perry "Cap" Carr, she was his second wife. Imogene and Cap had at least 8 children that lived to adulthood: Josephine Wilma Carr, Ora Oralene Carr, John Perry Carr, Aylene Vinie Carr, James Rodger Carr, Sarah Bell Carr, Wanda Louise Carr and Charles Lee Carr.

Mrs. Imogene Williams Carr, age 88, of the Spring Creek Community near Danville died Saturday, November 5, 1988 at the AMI St. Mary's Hospital at Russellville. She was born in the Gum Springs community near Dardanelle and the daughter of the late R.R. and Josephine Buttram Williams. She was a poultry grower and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivers include two sons, James and Charles Carr both of Danville; five daughters, Josephine Tharp of Danville, Orlene Boydesten of Van Buren, Alene Scott of Fort Smith, Sarah Kerhbiell of Newton, Kansas and Louise Carr of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Beatrice Womack of Dexter, MO. Also 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Oliver Perry Carr; one son, John Carr; two stepsons, Andy and Ray Carr and one stepdaughter Mandy Myers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Danville Church of Christ with Bro. A. T. Oliver officiating. Burial was in the Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
