I've changed Jane's birthdate to 1880 since I believe that is more accurate than the 1873 listed on her headstone and death certificate. Her son Robert Bowman was the informant, and I really don't think he knew how old she was. She's not living with her parents in 1880. Jane married Dillard Moore ca 1896. Her age on the 1900 census is 17. Her age on the record for her 2nd marriage states she was 22 in 1904. Her age in 1908 on her 3rd marriage lists she was 23. The 1910 census shows she's 24. The 1920 census she is 40 and the 1930 census she is 50. 1940 census her age jumps up to 66.

Survivors include four sons, Robert and Willie Bowman, Booneville, Arthur Moore, Harlan County, and Charlie McIntosh, Austin, Ind., and four daughters, Mrs. Effie Gibson, Lerose; Mrs. Grace Barrett, Booneville; Mrs. Nannie Mae Long, Lerose and Mrs. Alice Woods, Manchester.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Free Pentecostal Church at Lerose by the Rev. I. H. Gabbard. Burial will be in the Lerose Cemetery.
The body was taken to the residence from the King Justice Funeral Home.
