Bjorkman, Margaret color Services will be held in California, and a memorial service will be held in Thief River Falls in the spring of 2001.
Margaret Brown was born on March 9, 1910 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of John and Anna (Pearson) Brown. She grew up in Grygla where she was baptized and confirmed. In 1922, she moved to Thief River Falls where she attended high school, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1926. She was employed by the county and worked with the Register of Deeds.
On June 21, 1931, she was united in marriage to Clifford Bjorkman in Grygla. On December 1, 1939, Margaret and Cliff established Bjorkman's Clothing in Thief River Falls which they operated until 1985 when they retired. Cliff died in 1990.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls and San Jose, Calif.
Margaret is survived by a son, Dick (Marsha) of Thief River Falls; a daughter, Carol Jean (Darrell) Linthacum of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; twin infant sons; her parents; two brothers, Ferdie and Roy; and five sisters, Edith, Irene, Violet, Avis and Ardith
