Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today and noon Wednesday until the time of services at 2 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, Momence. The Rev. Jim Ruberg will officiate. Burial will be in Momence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
Mrs. Barr was an elementary school teacher for 30 years, teaching in Grant Park, Bonfield, and Bradley.
She was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Chicago, the daughter of Harold McFadden and Harriet Moecker McFadden Kinney. She had been married to Roy Chappell Jr.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Barr, whom she married Nov. 1, 1976, in Bradley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Maureen Chappell of St. George, Kent ''Chip'' and Carole Chappell of Bourbonnais; one step-son, Tim Barr of Kankakee; two step-daughters, Anne Wade of Ashkum, Rosemarie Barr of Aurora, Colo.; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Deceased are her parents, one son, and one daughter.
She attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Bradley.
