Shirley A. Gamble, 74, of Fishers, passed away January 27, 2014 at 9:15 p.m. She was born July 20, 1939, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Paul A. and Elizabeth Virginia Foster Bill.
Shirley was a graduate of South Bend Central High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Marian College and her Masters from DePauw University. Shirley married John M. Gamble, December 28, 1963, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.
Shirley was a teacher for over 30 years, retiring in 2006. She was the Director of Religious Education for St. Bernard Catholic Church, Crawfordsville, for 18 years. Shirley was a past member of Indiana State Teachers Association and a current member of Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John M. Gamble; daughter, Karen K. Niedermeyer (Daniel), and their children, Megan E., Daniel F., Kathleen A. and Michael J. Niedermeyer; son, John M. Gamble, Jr. (Belinda), and their children, Eleanor L., John M., III and George P. Gamble; son, Richard P. Gamble (Rita), and their children, Lorraine K., Arik R., Mollie D. and Claire E. Gamble; and son, David A. Gamble (Janelle), and their daughter, Amelia I.C. Gamble.
An infant son, Joseph Earl Gamble, preceded her in death.
