YORK Randy L. Newman, 57, was ushered to heaven by the Lord's angels on Friday, January 24, 2014, with family by her side. Born on April 15, 1956, in York, she was the daughter of the late Shirley M. Newman and Ramon Price. Randy was a laundress for the Yorktowne Hotel and the York Hospital. She was a loving mom, sister, aunt, and "Gram", and she will be deeply missed. She enjoyed collecting elephant figurines and miniature doll houses. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Brandi Newson and Sheena Newson, and grandchildren, Rashaan Newson, Azariah Greer, and Mordasha Greer, all of York; siblings, Toni Newman of York, Jovonne L. Newman (Karen) of Aberdeen, Md., Durell West (Lisa) of York, David West (Carol) of Pasadena, Md., Evette Brooks of Glen Burnie, Md., Derek West (Rose) of York, Dana West of Baltimore, Md., Rhonda Kumer (Seth) of Erie, Kevin Hill (Alberta) of Las Vegas, Nev., Pamela Kent (D. Ron) and Renae Kent (Mortimer), both of York, Latisha Price of Phoenix, Ariz., Joseph Beard of Pittsburgh, and Ramon Price, Jr., of Harrisburg; father of her children, Joseph Mack Newson of York; a best friend, Patricia; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The Homegoing Service will be on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York, with Minister Joseph Newson officiating. A time of visitation will be one hour prior from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery. The family wishes to thank everyone for their acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement. May God bless each of you.
