Mr. Raymond Junior Steverson, age 86, of Bonifay, FL passed away Sep 10, 2012 at his residence. A native of Holmes Co., FL, Mr. Steverson was retired owner/operator of Steve's Cabinet Shop. Raymond's surviving wife, Myrle, is incapacitated, and was therefore unable to participate in the funeral planning and/or obituary submission.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Oscar and Pearlie Mae Jacobs Steverson; 4 brothers, James Earl Steverson, William Oran Steverson, Emmitt Malone Steverson and (infant) Bobby Russell Steverson; an infant daughter, Lisa Steverson; and 1 son, Jerry Steverson.
Surviving Mr. Steverson are his wife, Myrle Steverson; 1 son, Mike Steverson and wife, Deborah; 1 daughter, Tammy Helms and husband, Christopher, all of Bonifay, FL; 4 brothers, Gerald Steverson and wife, Jeanette of Milton, FL, Chancey Steverson and wife, JoAnn of Tallahassee, FL, Jake Steverson and wife, LeAnn of Panama City, FL, Bobby Steverson and wife, Mary of Vernon, FL; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sep 13, 2012 at 11 am at New Smyrna Assembly of God Church with Revs. Ike Steverson and Mike White officiating. Interment followed in the Bonifay Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, FL directing. The family received friends at visitation in New Smyrna Church Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
