She was a graduate of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, Spartanburg, SC.

Survivors are her mother of the home; one son: Travis Harrison of home; two sisters: Betty J. King and Elinda G. Harrison; two brothers: Jonathan (Kathleen) Harrison and Ryan Harrison; seven aunts: Cynthia (Freddie) Snider, Teresa (Henry) Hilton, Susie Mae (JC) Murray, Virgeree Pendergrass, Midred Rouse, Ruth Kennedy and Mary J. Green; three uncles: Lun (Sarah ) Houston, Jr., Truman Houston and Samuels (Charlene) Harrison.
