Gary E. Dotson, age 68, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Lodi. Gary was born July 30, 1945 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Charles and Wanda (Briggs) Dotson.
He was a welder by trade and a truck driver. Gary enjoyed woodworking and riding his motorcycle, but most of all he loved his family. He served his country proudly in the U.S.Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Kral), to whom he was married 33 years; loving father of Shana (Chris) Wozniak, David (Malynda) Kral, Stacey and Selena Barker; devoted grandfather of Zack, Matthew, Paige, Clinton, Destiny, and Shane; dear brother of Sherman Dotson, Sharon Butler and Judy Johnston; son-in-law of Agnes Kral; uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his brother Seth "Butch" Hofer.
Services will be held Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dotson Family c/o Waite & Son Funeral Home.
