JB Williams, 83, of Colcord, Oklahoma, died January 27, 2014, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Born December 29, 1930, in Chewey, Oklahoma, he was the son of Charlie Clifton Williams and Fannie Ethel Hampton Williams. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and lived in the Moseley community where he was a dairy and beef cattle farmer. He enjoyed bird hunting in his younger years. On May 31, 1952, he married Helen Catherine Chapman. JB was a member of Moseley Regular Baptist Church, Moseley, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife Helen of the home; two sons, Jim Williams and wife Suzanne of Tontitown, Arkansas, Johnny Williams of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three daughters, Linda Lawson and husband Don of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Janet Hurt and husband Greg of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Diane Chamberlain and husband Dave of West Maysville, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Williams, Forrest Williams, and Bobby Williams, all of Westville, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Patsy Shoate and Betty Morris, both of Westville, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Moseley Regular Baptist Church, Moseley, Oklahoma, with Mark Sherrell and Logan Shelley officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Chewey, Oklahoma.
