Carmi Alderman of Third and Center streets was notified by wire that his brother-in-law, Dr. DeWitt Clinton Wilson had died at his home in Los Angeles, Calif. Friday night. The message came from Dr. Wilson's son-in-law, K. A. Miller. Dr. Wilson, had he lived until May 1st next, would have been 89 years of age. He was born in Burlington. He united in marriage to Miss Alderman, October 8, 1872 until she died June 18, 1930. Dr. and Mrs. Wilson had but one child, a daughter, Veatrice, who a number of years ago was married to Kent Miller, at that time a rising young lawyer of Ironton. When the Wilsons moved to California, Mr. and Mrs. Miller accompanied them. The Miller's have but one son, D. C. Miller, named in honor and after his grandfather. Dr. Wilson was in practice of medicine with Dr. Jonathan Morris, his brother-in-law, who married Dr. Wilson's favorite sister. Also see IET Feb. 6, 1935.
